Hellenic Motor Museum (ΗΜΜ) occupies 3 floors in Capitol Mall and is located in downtown Athens.Three whole floors dedicated to technology and the evolution of four wheels, a “story” that starts in the late 1800s and continued until the end of the last century. Its exhibitions are dedicated to the evolution of the car and display more than 110 cars from the 19th and the 20th century.
It is located in the heart of Athens, just a few minutes away from the National Archaeological Museum.The visitor can admire masterpieces of the automotive industry, experience the driving speed of F1 in the F1 simulator, and drive through an old car workshop with all its features.
Hellenic Motor Museum also gives the opportunity to its visitors to learn about the evolution of the car through the history of the wheel.While ascending the spiral ramp of the building they can admire 72 unique exhibits dating from 300 B.C. to the end of the 20th century.This exhibition is permanent and is offered free of charge.
Capitol Mall is built on a site of 3.000 sqm. and is comprised of one main and three peripheral buildings. The architectural style is Art Deco. The building is considered a landmark due to its spiral ramp and its special lighting.
Acropole Design, the awarded architectural team of Capitol Mall, took its inspiration from Frank Lloyd’s Wrights architecture in Guggenheim Museum of New York. Bioclimatic architecture has been used for the whole complex and the lighting design has been done by Kondos Associates of New York. The complex offers a unique environment for leisure.
