How much should I tip in Athens?
In Greece, the service fee is always included in the price that you pay. Tipping is not.
In fact, tipping is a matter of how satisfied you are from the service provided. If you are happy with your waiter, your receptionist, the housekeeper or your taxi driver you may leave generous tips. If not, by leaving no tips at all is a way to show your dissatisfaction!
In general when you tip somebody you round the amount to the next euro, next five euros or next ten euros depending on the total that you are asked to pay. For example if your bill is 8 euros, you may leave 10 euros, if it is 46 euros, you may leave 50 euros etc... A regular tip should be 7%-20% on the bill. The happiest you are with the service, the higher the tip you may give!
