The temple of Agioi Asomatoi was defaced by extensions to the east and west Ms. Mrs. additions north south in the late 19th and 20th century. Only the Athenians type dome and parts of the north and south walls built with the typical cloisonne masonry testify to its antiquity.
With restoration work of the then Directorate Restoration of ancient and historical monuments of the Ministry of Education, the church was restored in 1960 to the original formula of the simple cross-in stent. In the west wall was demolished probably frieze of terracotta tiles but embossed, Kufic decoration.
Two such plates were found in the work were incorporated in the restored west wall. Based on these plates like the St. Theodore, the church dates to the second half of the 11th century.
The dating is consistent and other elements such as large stone crosses at the base of the walls Ms. various kufic jewelry in the temple walls. Inside the church revealed very damaged frescoes not seem to belong to the initial phase of the monument.
