Athens area is reached by sea mainly through the Port of Piraeus (you may see it also written as Pireas).
There are not a lot of international itineraries for the public simply because there are no passengers to travel abroad from Piraeus with a boat, but there are a lot of Cruise Ships that use Piraeus and Athens as their destination.

You should also check the Gate that your ship boards from on the Piraeus Port Map, to avoid getting lost or losing your boat.
Rafina and Lavrion are two secondary ports of Athens that are used to connect Athens with small and/or near islands. Finally, if you travel from or to Italy ports you may use the Patras Port.
