To rent a car in Athens and generally in Greece you have to be over 21 years old and have your driver’s license for more than 3 years.
Usually there is a limit to the kilometers that you can drive per day (usually 100 kms) and a small fee for the extra ones. When you rent a car you should check it to make sure tat any damages that the car may have will be mentioned on the rental contract.
You will be asked to pay for normal or full car insurance. The normal is the cheaper one and you ‘ll pay nothing just in case that the accident is another one’s fault. Full insurance is more expensive. If someone else is in fault for the accident you ‘ll pay nothing.
If it’s your fault you ‘ll pay a small amount and all the rest will be paid by the insurance company.
Rental price depends on the company, the car and the renting period. Rending a car online will be easier for you and save your time, while you may also bid a better price.
However, whether you book online or not, don’t forget to check the car condition before you sign that everything is OK.
