Greece is a country with a great range of beverages and drinks.
In Athens you can drink the majority if them in cafeterias and restaurants, depending on the time and the place… In a café you may order a Greek coffee after your dinner but Greek usually don’t. What you may drink there is of course ouzo (the best ouzo brands are Plomari ouzos; four brands: Arvaniti, Barbayianni, Pitsiladi, Yiannatsi), tsipouro (a beverage that looks like ouzo), wine (really good red and white wines from all over Greece; Lemnos wines are delicious), retsina (it is a kind of wine) and of course various Greek or international beers (Mythos and Alfa are the most famous Greek beers, while Amstel and Heineken are also popular among Greeks.
Water in Athens is drinkable but if you don’t want to drink it there is a lot of mineral water brands. Among them the most famous are Zagori and Korpi. As for the soft drinks and the juices, you will find not only the top international brands, but really good Greek versions. Try Epsa and Loux for the soft drinks and Refresh and Life for fresh juices.
