In Psirri and Syntagma Areas you may find a lot of clubs where you can listen to mainly mainstream international music.
However, most of the clubs usually play Greek pop music as well, that is a mix –sometimes really bad– of western pop and eastern ethnic music. Some good choices are Club 22, at Vouliagmenis Avenue, Venue Club at Kiffisias Avenue and Stavros tou Notou the Club, at Fratzi Str. (the last one plays live rock music). Every district in Athens has its own smaller clubs.
Alcohol in Greece is cheap enough (allowed to 18+ years old people), but you have to be careful in a club. You ‘ld better drink alcohol in a bottle that you will see it to be opened, such as Beers, Gordon’s Space, Bacardi Breezers, because a lot of clubs sell not-original drinks that could be very dangerous for your health.
